On Friday morning, 83-year-old Ludmila Lipovsky was tragically murdered in a terror stabbing attack outside her nursing home in Herzliya. Security guards on the scene acted swiftly, neutralizing the attacker before he was arrested. Despite the immediate response from Magen David Adom paramedics, who arrived at the scene, Lipovsky was pronounced dead on arrival at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv.

The Israel Police confirmed that the attack was a terror incident, with the suspect identified as a Palestinian from Tulkarm, a city in the West Bank. The suspect had previously served time in Israel for past offenses and had been involved in helping prevent terrorism in the region. His collaboration with Israel's Shin Bet security agency was later exposed, prompting his transfer for rehabilitation.

The incident took place on Herzliya's Kdoshei Hashoah Street, where the elderly woman was found with multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts by paramedics, including resuscitation and medical treatment, she could not be saved. Security guards on the scene heard the attacker shout “Allahu Akbar” before taking action.

The attack serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing security challenges faced by Israel, and the brave efforts of those working to protect civilians.
