Air France has officially announced the resumption of flights between Tel Aviv and Paris, set to restart on January 25, 2025. The airline will operate seven weekly flights on its Airbus A350-900, marking a significant step in the recovery of the Israeli aviation market.

Air France had suspended its flights to and from Israel in late September due to the security situation. However, with the improved stability, the airline is confident in the renewed demand for international travel to and from Israel. The resumption of these flights follows a trend of major airlines, including Lufthansa Group, British Airways, easyJet, and Ryanair, returning to Israel as the situation stabilizes.

In addition to Air France's return, Transavia, the low-cost carrier part of the Air France-KLM Group, is scheduled to resume operations to and from Israel on January 27, though flights to Beirut will remain suspended until March 31, 2025. This highlights the broader recovery of international travel to Israel, with multiple airlines signaling their return to key destinations. American carrier Delta made a similar announcement on Wednesday morning.

The announcements are part of a wider trend, as Israel’s aviation market continues to recover, with more airlines, including Iberia, Air India, and Air Baltic, expected to announce their return in the coming days. U.S.-based American Airlines is also reportedly considering reintroducing its services to Tel Aviv in the near future.

Along with Air France, other major airlines are also set to re-enter the Israeli market. British Airways has confirmed its flight resumption, and easyJet plans to restart services from June 1, 2025, with flights from Tel Aviv to destinations such as London (Luton), Amsterdam, Berlin, Basel, Geneva, Nice, and Milan.

Despite the absence of easyJet for several months due to security concerns, their return is expected to meet high demand, especially for popular European routes. EasyJet will operate 38 weekly flights between Tel Aviv and key European cities, helping to address the gap left by their earlier suspension of services.

With multiple airlines returning to Israel, the country’s aviation sector is poised for a strong rebound. The presence of international carriers, along with high-demand routes to Europe and beyond, suggests a bright future for the Israeli aviation industry.
