The Atidna movement, a coalition representing Arab citizens of Israel, has issued a strong condemnation of Hamas following the brutal murders of Shiri Bibas and her two children. Describing the crime as “an act of barbarism with no justification,” Atidna emphasized that it is crucial to expose the true face of terrorism.

Founded in 2018, Atidna promotes Arab-Jewish partnership, equality, and mutual respect within Israeli society. The movement advocates for youth empowerment, integration of Arab citizens into industries like high-tech and higher education, and peaceful coexistence.

The Atidna movement criticized Hamas not only for the tragic murders but also for their “shameful hostage release ceremonies,” accusing the terrorist group of exploiting innocent civilians. They further warned that Hamas' violent policies would only worsen the situation for Gaza residents, isolate the region further, and impede any chance of a better future.

Atidna called on Arab Israeli political leaders to denounce the actions of Hamas and emphasized that silence on these matters is unacceptable. They urged for a united front against terrorism, saying, “Our duty as leaders is to speak out clearly and firmly against murder and terror.”

In an act of solidarity, representatives from Atidna confirmed their participation in the Bibas family funeral procession, expressing their opposition to violence and reaffirming their commitment to human life and dignity. The movement also urged Hamas to immediately release all hostages it holds and cease using civilians as bargaining chips.

The statement closed with a call for all Arab citizens to unite in rejecting terror and to stand for life and humanity.
