In a poignant tribute to the Bibas family, New York City's iconic Empire State Building was lit in orange on the evening of February 26. This special gesture was made to honor the memory of Shiri Bibas and her two young sons, Ariel and Kfir, who were tragically murdered. The orange lights shone brightly above Midtown Manhattan in the hours following the family’s funerals, providing a symbol of remembrance and solidarity.

An official post on X, an account affiliated with the Empire State Building, confirmed the lighting, expressing support for the grieving family. The decision to light up the landmark was part of a broader movement of honoring the Bibas family, with various other landmarks around the world joining in the tribute.

This tribute comes just days after New York State Governor Kathy Hochul had announced that 14 landmarks across the state would be illuminated in orange on February 21. These included 1 World Trade Center, Niagara Falls, and the Empire State Plaza, among others.

In a heartwarming show of international solidarity, landmarks around the world also lit up in orange to commemorate the Bibas family. These included the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, the Chain Bridge in Budapest, and the National Assembly building in Paris. Additionally, Los Angeles City Hall also participated in the tribute, lighting up in orange with the presence of Israel's Consul General, Israel Bachar.
