On Sunday, November 24, 2024, a series of missile attacks launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon left several Israelis wounded across northern and central Israel. According to Israeli emergency teams, including United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom, the rocket barrage caused both physical injuries and emotional distress among the affected communities.

In Petah Tikva, six people were reported injured after a rocket strike, and they were quickly evacuated to nearby hospitals for treatment. Emergency responders also dealt with a fire ignited by a rocket fragment in the area. Israel’s Fire and Rescue Service worked to extinguish the blaze, which caused significant damage to vehicles and property.

As of 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, approximately 165 rockets had been launched from Lebanon toward Israel. The Israeli military confirmed that most of the rockets were intercepted by its defense systems. However, some rockets managed to cause significant damage, including one that hit a five-story building in Haifa, injuring three people with minor injuries. Emergency services were also dispatched to treat people suffering from shrapnel wounds and panic-induced trauma.

In the northern region, a rocket strike on a factory in the Galilee wounded a 51-year-old woman who was later evacuated to the Galil Medical Center in Nahariya with shrapnel injuries. A 50-year-old man was also injured during the attacks as he attempted to reach shelter. Additionally, a 60-year-old man was moderately to seriously injured by shrapnel near Kibbutz Kfar Blum in the Hula Valley.

Continued Threats and Response Efforts

The attacks triggered sirens across various parts of Israel, including as far south as Herzliya, signaling further potential dangers. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) intercepted most of the rockets crossing from Lebanon, but a few still caused damage. Police confirmed that fragments from the rockets damaged a house in Givat Ada, though no injuries were reported from this specific incident.

Magen David Adom teams continue to respond to the aftermath, treating both physical injuries and trauma from the attacks. Authorities are also on alert for any additional strikes, as tensions remain high in the region.
