New recordings of Hamas operatives, revealed by Channel 12 on Sunday, shed light on a disturbing development regarding the humanitarian aid entering Gaza in early 2024. According to the recordings, the aid intended for Gaza's citizens instead ended up in the hands of Hamas leaders. These recordings were reportedly presented by Israel to the US government, which has consistently advocated for the daily entry of 250 trucks of aid into Gaza.

The recordings further highlight the troubling connection between Hamas and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). In one instance, an operative was heard discussing the movement of aid and confirming that some injured individuals among the recipients were UNRWA employees, with others being police officers. This suggests a deeply intertwined relationship between the humanitarian aid efforts and Hamas operatives on the ground.

Hamas operatives also expressed dissatisfaction, claiming that the aid was not reaching them directly, and instead, it was being diverted to Hamas leadership. In response to these frustrations, some operatives lashed out at their leadership, accusing them of negligence and a lack of concern for the plight of the people. One operable complaint detailed a disturbing incident where women were beaten inside a mosque in Rafah, leading to further criticism of the leadership for their perceived indifference.
