This Friday, Israeli cities were alive with excitement as children and families gathered to celebrate Purim, the joyous Jewish holiday marked by costumes, music, and community spirit. Across Israel, municipalities organized fun-filled events featuring live performances, parades, and exciting entertainment for people of all ages.

In Jerusalem, residents embraced the festive atmosphere by donning elaborate costumes and strolling through the vibrant Mahane Yehuda market and Jaffa Street. The heart of the Israeli capital buzzed with energy, as the city’s streets became a colorful showcase of creative outfits and Purim merriment.

Meanwhile, in Tel Aviv, the Purim festivities were in full swing in the Florentin neighborhood, where dancers, performers, and an orchestra paraded through the streets. Rothschild Boulevard was filled with residents in costumes, enjoying the lively atmosphere that’s typical of the city’s Purim celebrations.

Netanya's municipality hosted a superhero-themed celebration that attracted thousands of families to the city square. The event featured performances by popular children’s stars such as Livnat Guetaa (known as Livluvit), Michal Weizmann (Michal HaKtana), and pop star Anna Zak. The superhero theme was chosen to symbolize the "inner strength" within every person, especially in these challenging times for Israel. The superhero costumes and energetic performances created an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

Holon, too, kicked off its Purim celebrations with an emotional and symbolic event. The city welcomed back Agam Berger, a released hostage, with hundreds of supporters gathering to show their solidarity and joy before the celebrations began at the Mediatheque.
