The Israel-Premier Tech (IPT) cycling team has officially launched its campaign at the 6th UAE Tour, aiming for top results in both the General Classification and stage victories. This marks IPT's sixth consecutive appearance in the Emirates, symbolizing the unifying power of sport and continuing a tradition that predates the Abraham Accords.

Led by Israeli National Champion Oded Kogut and veteran cycling legend Chris Froome, IPT has brought a strong, well-rounded team to the seven-stage WorldTour race. The competition is fierce, with world-class cyclists such as defending champion and reigning World Champion Tadej Pogačar from UAE Team Emirates also battling for the title.

Dror Pekatch, IPT's Head Sports Director, expressed confidence in the team's chances despite the high level of competition. He stated, "A top-five GC finish and a podium result in one of the sprint stages with Oded would be fantastic goals. Is it ambitious? Yes. Is it within reach? I believe it is."

With GC hopes resting on Alexey Lutsenko and Matthew Riccitello, and Kogut targeting key sprint stages, the team is determined to leave its mark. Kogut will face off against some of the world’s fastest sprinters, including Jasper Philipsen and Jonathan Milan, on stages 4, 5, and 6. Meanwhile, the GC battle will unfold across stages 1, 3, and 7.

Beyond the competition, IPT’s presence at the UAE Tour carries symbolic weight, particularly for Israeli riders and fans. Sylvan Adams, team owner, reflected on the significance of racing in the UAE, remembering the warm reception the team received even before the Abraham Accords were signed. "Our presence here, racing in blue and white jerseys carrying the name of Israel in an Arab country, is a powerful symbol of friendship, unity, and the ability of sport to bring people together," said Adams.
