The Israeli Air Force (IAF) conducted airstrikes on Hezbollah rocket launchers in southern Lebanon on Thursday evening, marking a significant military operation under the direction of the IDF's Military Intelligence Directorate. The targeted sites included medium-range rocket launchers near a military location in the Nabatieh area.
According to the IDF, prior to the strikes, Israel requested the Lebanese Armed Forces address the issue in accordance with the ceasefire agreement. However, Lebanon did not act, prompting the Israeli military to proceed with the airstrikes. The IDF emphasized that its actions were aimed at eliminating threats to Israel's security.
Local reports confirmed the destruction of several Hezbollah targets, with explosions reported in various parts of southern Lebanon, including Beit Lif and Ar-Rihan mountain. This comes after a series of similar strikes targeting Hezbollah assets since the ceasefire began, including the destruction of a Pantsir missile system and a weapons storage facility in Bani Haiyyan.
Israel’s military operations continue to follow the ceasefire conditions with Lebanon, yet the ongoing tension between Israel and Hezbollah in the region remains a critical concern for regional stability.
