Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations on Sunday, highlighting US President Donald Trump's "bold new vision" for Gaza, calling it the only plan that can work for both Israel and Gaza's future. Netanyahu expressed his strong support for Trump's approach, emphasizing that Israel has "the greatest friend" in the White House.

Trump, in turn, stated that it is up to Israel to decide the next steps in consultation with him, reaffirming his unwavering support for the country's decisions.

Netanyahu also addressed the situation in Gaza, stating that Israel is offering people the opportunity to leave the region, noting that approximately 150,000 people had already done so by bribing Hamas officials. He clarified that this is not ethnic cleansing, but rather an effort to give individuals more agency over their own lives.

In a broader discussion, Netanyahu praised the new Lebanese president Joseph Aoun for his efforts to dismantle Hezbollah and acknowledged Israel's role in weakening Syria's Assad regime. He emphasized that Israel's efforts have ensured that Syria can no longer be used as a launchpad for attacks on Israel, drawing parallels to Winston Churchill's wartime decisions.

Turning to Iran, Netanyahu called for greater international action against Tehran, criticizing the threat posed by Iran's nuclear program and reaffirming his commitment to fighting international legal challenges, including those at the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, which he called "a travesty."

He warned that these international bodies undermine the right to self-defense for democracies, asserting that they threaten not only Israel but all democratic nations.

Netanyahu's speech also touched on his ongoing corruption trial, defending his actions and rejecting claims of media bribery schemes. He emphasized that his media coverage had been overwhelmingly negative, despite allegations to the contrary.
