In an exclusive interview with FOX News on Sunday, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance shed light on President-elect Donald Trump’s statement that “all hell will break loose” if hostages are not released by Inauguration Day on January 20. Vance clarified that this statement signified an aggressive approach to the situation, focusing on a military and financial strategy aimed at confronting Hamas and other terrorist organizations.

According to Vance, the Trump administration's approach would include enabling Israeli forces to eliminate the remaining battalions of Hamas leadership and ramping up sanctions and financial penalties against those supporting terrorism in the Middle East. He emphasized that Trump’s leadership in his previous term demonstrated effective action in confronting terrorism and that his forthcoming presidency would continue in the same vein.

Vance also expressed hope that a deal for the release of hostages held by Hamas could be achieved in the final days of the Biden administration. “But regardless of when that deal is struck, it will be because people are terrified that there are going to be consequences for Hamas,” Vance stated, underscoring the potential for effective negotiations under Trump's leadership.

Meanwhile, recent reports indicate that Qatar has handed a final draft of a deal to both Israeli and Hamas negotiators aimed at ending the war in Gaza and securing the release of hostages. This three-stage agreement, which involves a ceasefire and the release of hostages, is reportedly making progress, despite past failures in similar negotiations.

Qatari officials are reportedly facilitating crucial negotiations between Israeli and Hamas representatives. The final draft of the deal was recently shared with both sides, marking a pivotal moment in attempts to end the violence and secure the release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. Although some obstacles remain, sources are cautiously optimistic that progress will be made.

Israel and Hamas have yet to finalize a deal, and ongoing talks are expected to focus on a phased ceasefire, with the first stage anticipated to conclude soon. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, as hopes rise for a breakthrough in the coming days.
