The IDF said on Thursday that the Air Force has struck several facilities in Lebanon meant to store the fuel and weapons Hezbollah needs to continue fighting against Israel, even as reports emerged that the Iranian-backed group has agreed to withdraw north of the Litani River, prompting hopes for an imminent cease-fire. The strikes, some of which occurred in Syria, were meant to disrupt Iran's efforts to re-supply Hezbollah using Syrian territory as a conduit.
"With the support of the Syrian regime, the Hezbollah terrorist organization endangers the security of Syrian and Lebanese civilians by embedding command centers and forces in civilian areas in both these countries." the IDF said.
