The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Saturday that a drone fired by Hezbollah in Lebanon attempted to target the private home of the Netanyahu family in the coastal city of Caesarea. The family was not at home when the drone hit and there are no reports of damage to the house, with the official statement simply declaring that “a building had been hit” in the city. The IDF added that three drones had been fired at the house, but two had been intercepted.

The IDF said it was also investigating why the warning system did not alert residents to the incoming danger, although there was an alarm in Glilot north of Tel Aviv, where Mossad headquarters and a large IDF intelligence base are located.

“We heard helicopters above us and there was a feeling that there was some sort of incident but there were no sirens so we were not too worried,” one Caesarea resident told Channel 12. “But then suddenly a large explosion was heard and it was not clear to us if it was from an interception or a drone impact — but it was clear that it was a real incident with no prior warning. It was very worrying, luckily there are no casualties."

Hezbollah fired over 100 rockets, missiles and UAV's into northern Israel overnight Friday and into Saturday morning. An Israeli man in his 50's was killed by shrapnel from a rocket strike in the city of Acre, while several other people were reportedly wounded.

Meanwhile, Israeli air, artillery and ground forces also continuing strikes on the Iranian-backed terrorist organization.

The Air Force said it had destroyed several launchers that had been used to fire at Israel over recent days, while ground troops said they'd captured weapons and ammunition and eliminated several terrorists.

Hezbollah “continues to shrink and shrink,” said IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi in a speech to IDF troops he was visiting on the border Friday afternoon.

“We are very determined to hit Hezbollah as hard as possible,” Halevi added. “Hezbollah is hiding casualties, hiding dead commanders. We estimate that we have killed some 1,500 Hezbollah operatives, and our estimates are conservative. I imagine there are more that we don’t know about from dozens of strikes.”

He also praised the IDF troops who had captured Hezbollah operatives alive so they can be interrogated and provide intelligence, saying their desire to surrender "says a lot about their morale and the level of fighting.”

He also added his assessment that the Iranian backers of Hezbollah “don’t understand what is happening here to Hezbollah. And [Hezbollah] are their main arm that they have been counting on, and that is very important.”
