The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has officially kicked off the recruitment process for the November-December 2024 draft cycle, with new draftees set to begin their military training shortly. According to the IDF’s announcement on Sunday, a total of 59.79% of the recruits are male, while 40.21% are female, with an average age of 18.95 years.

Bases have been prepared to welcome the new recruits, ensuring they receive the necessary training and support. The Meitav Unit, which focuses on providing guidance and care, has also been set up to assist draftees, particularly those affected by the ongoing war. This initiative highlights the IDF's commitment to addressing the emotional and psychological needs of soldiers during challenging times.

Among the new recruits, 1,041 are new immigrants, predominantly from the United States, Russia, and Ukraine. The draft also includes 706 lone soldiers, individuals who have come to Israel without immediate family members. These soldiers join recruits from various countries, including Barbados, Tajikistan, Nigeria, Serbia, Poland, Vietnam, Mongolia, Cyprus, and Ecuador, reflecting Israel’s diverse population.

To ensure the recruits are well-equipped, the IDF's Technological and Logistics Directorate has prepared tens of thousands of uniforms, personal supply kits, and winter gear, including softshell jackets, neck warmers, and gloves. These items are crucial to ensure the draftees remain comfortable and well-prepared for the cold winter months.

The IDF emphasized that its recruitment plans have been adjusted to meet the operational needs of the military, ensuring that each unit and brigade is adequately staffed for the year ahead.
