On Saturday afternoon, the Israel Air Force launched an airstrike on a weapons storage facility used by Hamas in Deir Ali, located in southern Syria. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the attack, noting that the facility contained weapons intended for use against IDF troops.
Later that evening, explosions were reported near Syria's capital, Damascus, after further airstrikes targeted additional Hamas-related sites. Lebanese news channel Al Mayadeen, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, provided the details of the blasts.
The IDF has vowed to continue dismantling Hamas' capabilities across all fronts. In its statement, the military emphasized that Hamas has been operating in Syria, exploiting the region for its terrorist activities with backing from Iran. Israel's military remains firm in its stance, pledging to counter any efforts by terrorist organizations to strengthen their foothold in Syria or any other area threatening the State of Israel.
