On Sunday morning, the Israeli Air Force launched an airstrike targeting "several armed terrorists" approaching Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) positions in southern Gaza. This attack is part of the ongoing conflict, which has been marred by repeated violations of ceasefire agreements by both Hamas and Hezbollah forces.

In a separate incident on Saturday night, the Israeli military confirmed the death of a senior Hezbollah terrorist, Abbas Ahmad Hamoud, in a drone strike in southern Lebanon. Hamoud, a key commander in Hezbollah’s Air Force, had been responsible for numerous drone strikes aimed at Israel. His actions were in direct violation of the ceasefire agreement, which has been frequently breached by Hezbollah.

The airstrike in Gaza was met with claims from the Hamas Interior Ministry that the attack resulted in the deaths of "three policemen" who were securing a humanitarian aid convoy near Rafah. However, Israeli military sources have not verified these claims, and there have been no comments on additional casualties at this time.

In Lebanon, the strike took place in Jarjouaa, north of Nabatieh, and resulted in the death of Hamoud. Hezbollah-affiliated media outlets reported that two individuals were "martyred" and three others were injured, but the IDF has not yet confirmed these reports.

As tensions mount, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz reiterated his warning: "If there are drones, there will be no Hezbollah. We will not allow a reality of drone launches toward the State of Israel."

Meanwhile, Hamas has agreed to continue the hostage release process, but with conditions. Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan emphasized that the group will only proceed with the second phase of the hostage-ceasefire agreement if Israel fulfills its obligations. This phase involves Hamas backing down from governing the Gaza Strip, a critical condition for the continuation of peace talks.

While ceasefires have been declared, they remain fragile as both sides accuse each other of violations. The ongoing conflict underscores the difficulty in achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
