The northern Israeli city of Haifa came under heavy fire from Hezbollah early Tuesday afternoon, with approximately 105 rockets fired at the city. The IDF said most of the rockets were intercepted but a few managed to get through and land in the city. A 70-year-old woman was reportedly wounded by shrapnel from a rocket impact and received treatment from Magen David Adom paramedics. Several homes in the Haifa suburbs of Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin were also damaged in the barrage, according to police.

In related news, soldiers of the IDF's Golani Brigade reported on Tuesday that they had captured a Hezbollah fighting position located in an olive grove near a private home in southern Lebanon.

Among the items found at the fighting position were a mortar launcher which was loaded and ready to fire at Israel, ammunition and tunnel infrastructure. Weapons including anti-tank missiles and other military equipment were also found inside the private home.
