Early Tuesday morning, sirens blared across Tel Aviv and central Israel following the launch of a missile from Yemen. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that several attempts were made to intercept the missile, which was likely successfully intercepted before it could cause any harm.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics were quickly deployed to search the area following reports of a rocket strike. MDA teams treated 11 individuals who were injured while attempting to reach bomb shelters, as well as four others who were suffering from anxiety after the missile launch.

Meanwhile, Ben-Gurion Airport experienced brief delays in landings and takeoffs due to the missile strike, according to Ynet.

False Alarm in Southern Israel

Approximately two hours after the initial missile launch, sirens were again activated in Netiv Ha'assara, a community near the Gaza Strip. However, the IDF later confirmed that this alert was a false alarm, and no further incidents occurred in the area.

The missile launch from Yemen comes amid growing tensions in the region. Earlier in the day, sirens had sounded in various parts of Israel and the West Bank after another missile fired from Yemen was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force (IAF). This comes just days after Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom launched coordinated airstrikes on Houthi strongholds in Yemen in response to the group’s missile and drone attacks on Israel.
