A shooting terror attack near Kedumim in the West Bank on Monday resulted in the deaths of two women in their 60s and a man in his 40s. The attack also left eight others wounded, including a bus driver in critical condition. The victims were treated by Magen David Adom (MDA) and transferred to nearby hospitals, including Rabin Medical Center and Meir Medical Center.
Security forces and emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the scene, where they set up roadblocks and initiated a manhunt for the terrorists responsible. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the assailants opened fire on a bus and nearby vehicles. MDA paramedic Avichai Ben Zuria described the severity of the attack, recounting the discovery of two women and the bus driver, all suffering from gunshot wounds.
In response to the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the actions, vowing to hold those responsible accountable. "No one will go unpunished," he wrote on social media. Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered the IDF to act forcefully in all locations linked to the perpetrators, stressing that Israel would not tolerate a Gaza-like situation in the West Bank.
This attack follows a series of violent incidents in the region, including a recent stabbing attack in Jerusalem. Authorities continue to investigate the motivations behind these acts of terror, as security measures remain high in the West Bank.
